Cricket World Cup final between England and New Zealand live and free on Channel 4
The Cricket World Cup final between England and New Zealand is to be broadcast live and free on Channel 4, in a deal with Sky.
Channel 4 say “After striking a deal with @skysports, the Cricket World Cup final between England and New Zealand on Sunday 14 July will be broadcast live on Channel 4.
The British Grand Prix will also be broadcast live on Channel 4 on Sunday – the only live free-to-air Grand Prix to be shown this season after a separate partnership was agreed with Sky.”
But with both on at the same time, it is expected that the
Cricket will move to More4 during the period of the British Grand Prix.
“Channel4 will carry @SkySports’ coverage of the #CWC19 final from 9am. Cricket coverage moves to More 4 at 1.15pm while the #BritishGP will be shown on Channel 4, with the cricket returning to Channel 4 after the race has finished.”
Sky Sports have also made some changes to their schedules. The British Grand Prix will now only be shown on Sky Sports F1, with its place on Sky Sports Main Event now take up by the Cricket World Cup final.
It also appears that the Cricket will also be made available to “non Sky Sports” subscribers on Sky1.
