You can quickly check to see if your remote control is functioning.

Although you may think the remote control is not working, it may be working fine, and the issue is with your device.

All you need for this check is the camera on your mobile phone.

Point the remote control at the camera, and press a button on the remote.

If the remote control is working, you will see the infrared light on the remote flashing.

The camera can see what your naked eye cannot, the infrared lights.

If the remote control is not functioning, check you have inserted the batteries into the remote control correctly (a very common error!), or replace the batteries with new batteries.

If the remote control is functioning, perhaps all that is needed is your device needs to be rebooted.
