UKTVs “W” channel to go free to air next week
UKTV groups “W” channel will go free to air this coming week.
W channel will no longer be fully part of a Sky subscription, as confirmed by Sky this week, ahead of a free-to-air relaunch of the channel.
It is expected to join UKTVs other free to air channels, Dave, Drama and Yesterday, on Freesat (on satellite), and Freeview (in the UK via a TV aerial), shortly afterwards. Freesat and Freeview channel numbers to be determined
The HD version of “W” will remain behind the paywall and part of a Sky subscription. Sky viewers will continue to be able to access W on the usual channel numbers.
W is UKTV female orientated channel, and shows a mix of reality shows.
Scheduled to go live on Freesat on Monday 28th March
I live in Benidorm and have a 1 3 m dish but can’t receive watch or Drama is that transponder difficult to receive here?
The UKTV Group of channels, that include the SD versions of Dave, Drama, Watch, Alibi, Eden, are on a very weak signal. But a year or so ago i did get them on a 125x135cm dish in Villajoyosa, so it is possible with the right size of dish, the right make of dish, and the right LNB, all perfectly aligned.
