This weeks BBC HD channel changes – Freesat HD today, Sky HD tomorrow
Freesat users using BBC One East and BBC One East Midlands regions, will today have their Freesat channel 101 defaulted to BBC One East HD or BBC one East Midlands HD.
They change for Sky users takes place tomorrow (31/1/23).
Also, as part of these changes,
BBC Four HD, CBBC HD, BBC Two Wales HD, and BBC Scotland, have also been mapped over to their new frequency for Freesat HD users.
If you do not have a Freesat HD or Sky HD box, then if you want to watch these channels then you will need to perform a manual channel scan, on frequency 10.818 V DVB-S2 8PSK SR 23000 FEC 3/4
For people in my service area :
– a 110x120cm dish should be able to receive these BBC HD channels in all but heavy rain
– a 125x135cm dish should be able to receive these BBC HD channels in all but heavy rain
– a 1.8, or 2.4m dish should be able to receive these BBC HD channels in all but very heavy rain
Users with smaller satellite dishes may struggle to receive these BBC HD channels.
