Peaceful Sunset Walk at Grau de Gandia, Spain Coast
There’s something special about a sunset by the sea, and the Grau de Gandia delivers it perfectly. As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, the marina, beach, and breakwater all take on a warm golden glow, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere that’s hard to beat.
Filmed in October 2023, this sunset captures that quieter side of Gandia. The busy summer crowds have gone, the temperatures are more comfortable, and the coastline feels far more peaceful. It’s a time of year when you can really slow down and enjoy the surroundings — whether you’re walking along the promenade, sitting by the harbour, or simply watching the sky change colour.
October is a great time for sunsets along the Playa de Gandia. The days are still warm, but the light softens as autumn sets in, creating longer shadows and more vibrant colours in the sky. Average daytime temperatures are still pleasantly warm, while sunset times gradually move earlier — from around 19:40 at the start of the month to closer to 18:00 by the end.
This combination of softer light and earlier sunsets makes it an ideal time for evening walks or relaxed filming, with the golden hour lasting just that little bit longer.

The area around the marina and breakwater is one of the best spots to take in the sunset. Looking out across the Mediterranean, you’ll often see the sun reflecting off the water, with boats gently moving in the harbour and waves rolling against the rocks.
Unlike the peak summer months, October offers a much calmer experience. There’s still life and activity, but without the noise and crowds — making it perfect for those who enjoy a more laid-back coastal atmosphere.
It’s also a great time for content creators, with the softer light helping to capture more natural colours and detail without the harsh glare of midsummer sun.
