Freesat channel number changed today
Freesat has completed a channel number reshuffle for some of the entertainment channels.
Freesat satellite receivers were updated on Tuesday morning.
As a result, 19 channels move to new channel numbers, and closed some of the gaps in the channel numbers that have occurred due to various channel closures over the years.
Also of note, is that channel number 160 has been kept clear, presumably for UKTV expected launch for U&Eden later this year. U&Eden is currently under a Sky subscription contract, but was not included in the recent contract renewal between Sky and UKTV. Thus the speculation that U&Eden will soon become free to air, and available for Freesat users soon.
