New look TV guide and user interface on Freesat 4k Boxes
A new user interface has started to be rolled out for Freesat 4k Set Top box users.
The roll out started yesterday, the 15th October 2024.
The update is automatic, and when downloaded and installed, your Freesat 4k box will reboot to the new interface. This will be done during the “early hours” of the morning, when the box performs daily “housekeeping”.
The updated TV Guide now presents more channels per page, making it easier for users to browse available content at a glance.
Navigation has been streamlined, with key options repositioned at the top of the screen for quicker access.
Users can personalize their experience by using the ‘List’ button on the remote to mark favorite channels or filter programs with audio descriptions and subtitles.
The ‘On Demand’ menu now brings together all apps and content recommendations, simplifying discovery.
For those with recordable 4K boxes, all recording features remain unchanged. This update was automatically deployed, with boxes rebooting in the early hours to install the new interface.
Additionally, Freesat has revised its user manuals to help customers navigate the refreshed design effortlessly.
Here is a quick video showing you what has changed with this latest update.
