SmartDNSproxy suffers outage
Since Friday 24th January 2025, many users of the SmartDNSproxy service have been reporting connection issues.
The connections issues has meant that people have been unable to access “geoblocked” services.
SmartDNSproxy have issues an update on their Facebook page, saying :
NETWORK UPDATE
Due to a massive ongoing outage of one of our major data centers, all services which are based on regions are currently unavailable. We’re in touch with the data center engineers who are working on the problem. Once the problem is resolved, we will let you know. Sincere apologies for inconveniences but the issue is not on our side so we will be monitoring the situation.
On Sunday 26th January 2025, users started to report that their “geoblocked” services were slowly returning, suggesting the issue with SmartDNSproxy has almost been resolved.
