On Saturday, September 20, 2025, Gandia proudly hosted the 4th edition of the Territorio Borja Classic Rally, an event that has become a highlight of the Valencian Community’s motorsport calendar by bringing together sport, tourism, and heritage in one exhilarating day.

The rally kicked off at 10:00 a.m. from the Plaça del Prado, a historic square that has long been a vibrant gathering point in the city. Known for its bustling cafés, cultural events, and its role as a social hub, the square was filled with the roar of engines and the excitement of fans as classic cars lined up for the start. The Plaça del Prado not only set the stage for the rally but also gave visitors a chance to soak up Gandia’s unique blend of history, energy, and hospitality.

Covering nearly 300 kilometers, including 175 timed sections, the course challenged the skill and precision of both drivers and co-drivers. This year’s route wound through the La Safor region, passing scenic coastal stretches and inland mountain roads, offering breathtaking views alongside technical driving challenges.

Spectators admired a spectacular lineup of classics, from the Porsche 911 Carrera and Golf GTI to the Renault 5 Turbo and Jaguar XK8, with 36 teams and 72 drivers representing the Valencian Community, Albacete, Murcia, Toledo, and Catalonia, plus strong support from Gandia’s local automobile club.

According to Automobile Club president Manolo Manrique, this year’s edition was “the most demanding yet,” perfectly balancing sporting challenge with the festive atmosphere that makes the rally such a unique part of Gandia’s calendar.

El sábado 20 de septiembre de 2025, Gandía albergó con orgullo la 4.ª edición del Rally Clásico Territorio Borja, un evento que se ha convertido en un referente del calendario automovilístico de la Comunidad Valenciana al unir deporte, turismo y patrimonio en una jornada emocionante.

El rally comenzó a las 10:00 h en la Plaza del Prado, una plaza histórica que desde hace tiempo ha sido un vibrante punto de encuentro en la ciudad. Conocida por sus animadas cafeterías, eventos culturales y su papel como centro social, la plaza se llenó del rugido de los motores y la emoción de los aficionados mientras los coches clásicos se alineaban para la salida. La Plaza del Prado no solo sirvió de escenario para el rally, sino que también brindó a los visitantes la oportunidad de empaparse de la singular mezcla de historia, energía y hospitalidad de Gandía.

Con casi 300 kilómetros de recorrido, incluyendo 175 tramos cronometrados, el recorrido puso a prueba la habilidad y la precisión tanto de pilotos como de copilotos. La ruta de este año discurría por la comarca de La Safor, pasando por pintorescos tramos costeros y carreteras de montaña del interior, ofreciendo vistas impresionantes y desafíos técnicos de conducción.

Los espectadores admiraron una espectacular selección de clásicos, desde el Porsche 911 Carrera y el Golf GTI hasta el Renault 5 Turbo y el Jaguar XK8, con 36 equipos y 72 pilotos representando a la Comunidad Valenciana, Albacete, Murcia, Toledo y Cataluña, además del fuerte apoyo del club automovilístico local de Gandía.

Según el presidente del Club Automovilístico, Manolo Manrique, la edición de este año fue “la más exigente hasta la fecha”, combinando a la perfección el desafío deportivo con el ambiente festivo que convierte al rally en una parte tan única del calendario de Gandía.
