The 2024 Australian Open Tennis on TV – TV Coverage and broadcasters
The 2024 Australian Open is a tennis tournament that will take place at Melbourne Park between the 14th and 28th January 2024.
It is the 112th edition of the Australian Open, and the first Grand Slam tournament of the year.
Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka are the defending champions in Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles, respectively.
Host Broadcaster: In Australia, all matches will be broadcast live by the Seven Network.
UK and Europe Broadcasters : Eurosport will be the main broadcaster, carrying live matches on Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2. Streaming service Discovery+ will also be covering the event with addition match coverage.
Eurosport’s contract to show the Australian Open on TV runs until 2031, following a new 10 year deal between Discovery and Tennis Australia.
DMAX channel to screen free-to-air highlights of the finals. DMAX is available on Freesat 250 and Sky 172. DMAX is only available in SD whereas they could use sister channel Quest for the highlights, which is available in HD via satellite.
The BBC no longer be showing live coverage Australian Open. It will be showing limited highlights of play. Starting from the 22nd January 2022, the BBC will be showing daily hour long highlights of the days play. There will be daily BBC Radio 5 live commentaries and online text commentaries online.
