Daimus, Valencia

Daimús is a town in the Safor area in the Comunidad Valenciana, Spain.  It has a population of about 2,200 inhabitants in winter which grows to around 20,000 in summer.

It lies on the Mediterranean coast just south of Gandia and north of Oliva and Denia, and is accessible via the AP7 and N332 towards Gandia.

Diamus is split into three areas :

el Poble (the village): the most ancient part. It is mainly composed of one-floor houses and a church.

Pedregals (the stony): a group of bungalows near a small church 1 km from the main village.

la Platja (the beach): a group of buildings only used in summer holidays by tourists.
There is a stunning, long, golden sand Blue Flag beach, with a promenade with bars and restaurants alongside. In the summer months there are “chiringuitos”, pop up bars and sun loungers to hire. The beach has suitable access for the disabled.
