From October, MBC Group will air Western films that have been dubbed in Arabic on MBC Max and MBC 1. The initiative, a first for the MBC Group, will enable viewers to watch the films either in their original language or in Arabic.

Viewers, however, can still watch the movies in their original language by pressing the audio button on the remote control of the receiver and then selecting track 2 for English. audio settings must be changed back to track 1 to enjoy the rest of the screenings.

Andrew Maskall, senior marketing manager of Western channels at MBC commented that the initiative reflected �MBC Group�s forward thinking process of anticipating viewership trends�.

�MBC Max has a high commitment to offer quality entertainment that is Arabised, as there is high demand in this part of the world to watch big hit movies dubbed in Arabic,� added Maskall.

So this is important – if you have a system that picks up MBC then be warned that your Audio settings may change, and your English language audio may have to be reselected for the MBC channels – as it may not automatically default to the English audio soundtrack
