The Nickelodeon children’s channel started testing a HD version of its main channel on the UK Sky TV satellite system.

According to unofficial information, the channel will be available on a regular basis from October.

At present the viewers in Europe can watch cartoons in HD on MTVNHD (MTV, Nickelodeon HD). These include “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” “iCarly”, “Jimmy Neutron” and “SpongeBob.”

The frequency parameters to receive HD Nickelodeon are as follows;

ASTRA 2B (28,2 E)
12,090 GHz, V, 29500, 3 / 4

Nickelodeon HDchannel is due to launch on October 5 on Sky UK.
It will be available on other countries satellite platforms later this year and into 2011
