Nilesat 201 was launched a few months ago with its mission to replace the old Nilesat 101.
Nilesat 201 has already begun to function at position 7 degrees west
In Spain you should be able to receive Nilesat 201 with a satellite dish of 100 cm in diameter, better with a 120cm satellite dish..
So, what does this mean.
Well there are some channels on Nilesat 101 that you may be watching as they carry a number of English speaking programmes.
A version of Fox Movies, Dubai One, Dubai Sports, Spacetoon, and City 7 are all on Nilesat 101, which, if they transfer over to Nilesat 201, could mean that your exisitng Nilesat system with an 80cm dish may not be able to receive these channels. Of course there may be a big shuffle around, and these channels may move to Nilesat 102, or some of the channel on Nilesat 102, like MBCs, may move to Nilesat 201.
We shall have to wait and see, but suffice top say that changes are happening for people with Nilesat systems.
