Emma Raducanu’s US Open final will be shown live on FREE-TO-AIR TV tonight (Saturday 11th September 2021) after Channel 4 sealed a last-minute deal with Amazon Prime.

Amazon Prime will share its live coverage of Emma Raducanu’s US Open final against Leylah Fernandez with Channel 4 on Saturday evening

The broadcasters held talks through the night over a sub-licensing deal that would enable the match to shown live on Prime and on Channel4 at 9pm this evening.

A deal has been struck with Channel 4, with Amazon pledging to reinvest that money – believed to be a seven-figure sum, according to the Press Association – into British women’s tennis to help fund the next generation of players.

The broadcaster has declined to comment on the amount Channel 4 are paying for the licence to screen the match, but Sportsmail understands it is more than £1 million.
