Every year, La Safor bursts into life with an explosion of color, music, and emotion, as the streets fill with the breathtaking human towers that define the ancient muixeranga tradition — a living expression of cooperation, creativity, and Valencian cultural pride. These impressive formations, built through balance, trust, and unity, represent far more than a spectacle: they are a symbol of community spirit and collective artistry passed down through generations.

This 2025 edition promises an unforgettable program featuring some of the region’s most passionate cultural groups:
✨ Muixeranga Penyeta Blanca from Cocentaina
✨ Muixeranga de la Marina Alta
✨ Els Bastonets from Algemesí
✨ and, of course, the host group — Muixeranga de la Safor, who will fill Gandia’s streets with strength, rhythm, and tradition.

The festivities begin with a lively parade through the city, culminating in Gandia’s Plaça Major, where visitors can enjoy traditional stick dances (danses de bastons) performed by the baton twirlers of the Muixeranga de la Safor and Els Bastonets from Algemesí. Their synchronized movements and joyful energy add rhythm, color, and a festive heartbeat to the day’s celebrations.

All of this unfolds within the unique atmosphere of Gandia’s Fira i Festes, a centuries-old celebration that begins with the arrival of the beloved Tío de la Porra — a spirited local figure who fills the streets with drums, costumes, and laughter.
