BBC to show live Bundesliga games
The BBC will broadcast live Bundesliga action this season after securing rights to show one match per week until 2027.
Coverage kicks off on Friday, 22 August, with defending champions Bayern Munich hosting RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena.
Among the fixtures already confirmed are Bayer Leverkusen – last season’s title winners – against Eintracht Frankfurt, and Bayern Munich versus Werder Bremen.
Fans can watch every Friday game live on the BBC Sport website, app, and BBC iPlayer, with highlights and key moments shared across BBC Sport’s social media channels.
Alex Kay-Jelski, Director of BBC Sport, says:
“To be able to include Bundesliga matches within our live football offering is phenomenal, especially Bayern Munich’s opening game featuring England’s captain Harry Kane. I’m proud BBC Sport has such an impressive portfolio of football coverage across all of our platforms – from live games to highlights and digital clips, to breaking news on the website, we’ve got fans covered this season.”
