As part of the move from Standard Definition to High Definition, ITV today closed down its Standard Definition versions of ITV3 and ITV4.

This means that they are only available on Sky HD and Freesat HD in HD.

Their “+1” services are still currently available, in SD.

This follows yesterdays closedown of the SD channels by the BBC.

And in future months we can expect a lot more SD channels to be closed down in favour of their HD versions.
