About the FA Cup
The FA Cup is the oldest and one of the most prestigious football competitions in the world. Organized by the Football Association in England, it has been held annually since 1871 and features clubs from all levels of English football, from amateur teams to Premier League giants. Known for its historic upsets, the FA Cup gives lower-league clubs the chance to compete against elite teams, making it a tournament full of surprises and drama.
The competition follows a knockout format, with early rounds involving non-league and lower-division teams before top-tier clubs enter in later stages. The final is played at Wembley Stadium, where legends are made, and dreams come true. Winning the FA Cup not only grants silverware but also a spot in the UEFA Europa League. With its rich history, thrilling matches, and unforgettable moments, the FA Cup remains a beloved part of English football culture.
