Windows 10 Support End: What It Means for Users

Microsoft has confirmed that official support for Windows 10 will end on 14 October 2025, marking a major turning point for millions of PC users worldwide. After this date, Windows 10 devices will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or technical support from Microsoft.

While your PC won’t suddenly stop working, running an unsupported operating system carries increasing risks. Without security patches, Windows 10 will become more vulnerable to viruses, ransomware, and other cyber threats. Over time, software developers and hardware manufacturers are also likely to drop compatibility, meaning new apps, drivers, and peripherals may no longer work reliably.

For many users, the natural upgrade path is Windows 11. However, Windows 11 has stricter hardware requirements, including TPM 2.0 and newer processors.
