BBC One HD – 3rd November 2010 – Freesat HD and Sky HD channel numbers — 1 Comment

  1. BBC One is making the move to High Definition.

    The brand new HD channel will launch on Wednesday 3rd November at 7pm, with an evening jam-packed with programmes filmed in true HD. Much of BBC One peak time schedule will now be filmed in true HD, including favourites like The Apprentice, Strictly Come Dancing, Children in Need, Antiques Roadshow, Countryfile, The Graham Norton Show and The Royal Variety Show.

    In addition, BBCHD channel will continue to be home to great drama, comedy, music and factual programmes from BBC TWO, THREE and FOUR, all in stunning HD, plus for the first time some Moto GP races.

    Important news for freesat customers

    You can expect to see BBC One HD added to the EPG at Channel 108 from 7pm onwards on Wednesday 3rd November. BBC HD channel will move to Channel 109. These changes will update automatically on freesat boxes and TVs.

    To prompt these changes after 7pm, put your box or TV into standby for one minute, and then turn it back on. The EPG will then update. Customers with Humax boxes and LG TVs will need to accept the new channel prompt.

    Customers with freesat+
    To be sure you don’t miss any recordings, we suggest you re-set any recordings from the BBC HD Channel.

    Also remember to re-set any series recordings from programmes moving from the BBC HD Channel to BBC One HD including Strictly Come Dancing, The Apprentice, Holby and more.
