The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final is set to become one of the biggest television sporting events of the year as England prepare to face Spain in Sydney, Australia.

The Final will take place on Sunday 20th August 2023 at Stadium Australia and will kick off at:

• 11am UK time
• 12 noon in Spain

Both teams will be appearing in their first-ever Women’s World Cup Final, guaranteeing a historic occasion regardless of the result.

BBC and ITV to Show the Final Live

The BBC and ITV agreed a joint rights deal earlier in 2023 which allows both broadcasters to share coverage of the entire tournament. All 64 matches from the competition will be shown free-to-air in the UK, with the Final simulcast on both BBC One and ITV1.

BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds will have radio commentary as both sides aim to win their first World Cup.

RTVE Also Showing the Final in Spain

Spanish broadcaster RTVE will also show the Women’s World Cup Final live in Spain.

The match is expected to receive huge national interest as Spain reaches its first-ever Women’s World Cup Final.

RTVE has also confirmed plans to broadcast the Final in Ultra HD through its UHD test channels available on Spanish terrestrial television systems.

For viewers with compatible UHD televisions and DVB-T2 equipment, this could provide one of the highest-quality broadcasts of the match.
