Every May, Daimús gets fired up—literally—during its awesome correfoc, a fiery street show put on by the group Colla Penya Foc Seguit de Xeraco. This event is all about loud drums, wild costumes, and a ton of fireworks lighting up the night. It’s part of the town’s spring celebrations and always draws a big crowd.

The word correfoc means “fire-run,” and that’s exactly what it is—performers dressed as devils run through the streets with sparklers, firecrackers, and spinning fireworks, chasing people and dancing under a shower of sparks. It’s exciting, a little crazy, and totally unforgettable.

Foc Seguit de Xeraco is a local group from the nearby town of Xeraco, and they’ve made a name for themselves all over the region for their energy and creativity. They’re a tight crew who love what they do—mixing tradition, music, and fire into something that’s way more than just a show. They train hard, design their own gear, and bring a lot of heart to every performance. Whether it’s a small town fest or a big city event, they always go all in.

As the sun goes down in Daimús, the drumming kicks off, the devils appear, and the streets explode with fire and rhythm. It’s not just about watching—it’s about being part of something loud, fiery, and full of life.

Cada mayo, Daimús se llena de energía durante su impresionante correfoc, un espectáculo callejero de fuego organizado por la Colla Penya Foc Seguit de Xeraco. La palabra correfoc significa “corredor de fuego”, y eso es exactamente lo que es: artistas vestidos de diablos corren por las calles con bengalas, petardos y fuegos artificiales giratorios, persiguiendo a la gente y bailando bajo una lluvia de chispas. Es emocionante, un poco alocado y totalmente inolvidable.

Foc Seguit de Xeraco es un grupo local del cercano pueblo de Xeraco, y se han hecho un nombre en toda la región por su energía y creatividad. Son un equipo unido que ama lo que hace: mezclar tradición, música y fuego en algo que es mucho más que un simple espectáculo.
