On the warm summer evening of Saturday, July 19, 2025, the streets of Oliva came alive with the captivating rhythms, rich colors, and timeless spirit of the Entrada Moros – one of the main highlights of the city’s beloved Moros i Cristians festival.

Each year, the people of Oliva and visitors from across the region gather to witness this magnificent procession, which celebrates the historical battles between Moors and Christians during Spain’s medieval Reconquista. But more than a reenactment, the parade is a living tribute to identity, heritage, and community.

This year’s Capità Moro (Moorish Captain) is Fernando Arnal Gutiérrez, representing the Filà Tuareg, who holds the prestigious capitania for 2025. With strength, pride, and a commanding presence, Fernando led the Moorish side of the parade through Oliva’s historic streets, accompanied by his filà’s stunningly choreographed retinue, musicians, dancers, and impressive floats. La tarde del sábado 19 de julio de 2025, las calles de Oliva se llenaron de vida con los ritmos cautivadores, los colores intensos y el espíritu atemporal de la Entrada de Moros, uno de los actos centrales de las queridas fiestas de Moros y Cristianos.

Cada año, vecinos y visitantes de toda la comarca se reúnen para presenciar esta magnífica procesión, que rememora las batallas históricas entre moros y cristianos durante la época de la Reconquista. Pero más allá de una representación histórica, el desfile es un homenaje vivo a la identidad, la herencia cultural y el orgullo de toda una comunidad.

El Capità Moro (Capitán Moro) de este año es Fernando Arnal Gutiérrez, representante de la Filà Tuareg, que ostenta la capitanía de 2025. Con fuerza, elegancia y porte, Fernando encabezó el bando moro por las calles históricas de Oliva, acompañado de su filà con una puesta en escena espectacular, músicos, bailarinas, carrozas y una ambientación que emocionó a todos los presentes.

La música fue, como siempre, el corazón del desfile. Sonaron dolçainas y tabales, acompañados por melodías de inspiración árabe que añadieron un aire místico a la velada. Los tambores retumbaban en el pecho de los asistentes, mientras bailarinas con velos, comparsas exóticas y animales majestuosos desfilaban por el recorrido iluminado.

La Entrada de Moros no es solo un espectáculo para la vista y el oído: es también una experiencia emocional profunda para los olivenses. Muchas personas dedican meses a preparar sus trajes, ensayar los bailes y cuidar cada detalle. Participar en una filà es una tradición que se transmite de generación en generación y que une a familias enteras.

La capitanía de la Filà Tuareg este año destacó especialmente por su elegancia, coordinación y simbolismo. Su carroza, inspirada en una fortaleza del desierto, impresionó por su diseño y puesta en escena, iluminada con gran efecto mientras cruzaba las calles principales del centro histórico.
