Movistar has become the latest international pay-TV operator to secure rights to the English Premier League.
The three year on the start of the next season follows the opening of the auction for international operators. In Spain football rights have been particularly hard fought.
Earlier, rights to Spain’s own La Liga competition had seen the Telefonica owned Movistar pick up an exclusive first choice, with the remaining eight games per match day secured by Mediapro.
The Mediapro/Bein Sports combo already has the rights to live Champions League.
