Disney has confirmed plans to close down the Fox channel in the UK on the 30th June 2021.

Fox launched as a general entertainment station launched in 2004 as ‘FX’, and transmits such shows as Family Guy, American Dad, The Walking Dead and American Horror Story.

This leaves National Geographic and Nat Geo Wild as the only Disney operated “linear” channels in the UK, after Disney closed all of its UK children’s channels in 2020.

“On 30 June the Fox channel in the UK will close,” a spokesperson confirmed to Broadcast. “Many titles will become available on Star on Disney+ and will be announced in the near future.
