Sky Sports Launches New ‘Multiview’ Premier League Coverage
Sky Sports has kicked off the 2025-26 Premier League season with a major innovation designed to transform the way football fans watch live games. The broadcaster’s new Multiview service allows viewers to watch up to four live matches at the same time—all on one screen—bringing a RedZone-style experience to English football.
Traditionally, fans had to pick one live match and settle for highlights from the others. Multiview changes that. The format features one main game in a larger window, with three additional live matches in smaller boxes around it. Sky’s production team dynamically switches focus between games to capture every goal, penalty, and major talking point as it happens—ensuring you never miss the big moments.
If it sounds familiar, that’s because it’s inspired by the NFL’s RedZone format, but adapted for football with a single commentary team guiding viewers through the action.
Multiview will be especially prominent during Super Sundays, where multiple Premier League games often overlap. Imagine four 2pm kick-offs—rather than flipping between channels, you get them all in front of you, live and uninterrupted.
And when the dust settles, Sky has a brand-new wrap-up show called “Extra Time”. Hosted by Jamie Carragher, it airs at 7:30pm on busy Sundays, breaking down the goals, controversies, and standout performances from the day.
The Multiview feature is rolling out across Sky TV, NOW, and the Sky Sports app, making it accessible whether you’re on the sofa with Sky Glass or streaming on your tablet.
Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers will also see personalized upgrades, including on-screen reminders for favourite teams, curated highlight playlists, and dedicated club pages. Sky Q users are set to receive interface enhancements later in the season, bringing similar features to the platform.
Multiview is part of Sky’s broader expansion in football coverage. From this season, the broadcaster will show at least 215 live Premier League matches, a huge jump from the previous 128. This means more chances to use Multiview—and more football to sink your teeth into.
The format could also be extended to Women’s Super League coverage, offering the same multi-match experience for fans of the women’s game.
In an age where fans are used to juggling multiple screens, Sky’s Multiview offers a cleaner, more immersive way to follow the action. Whether you’re tracking your Fantasy Premier League team, scouting rivals, or just a football obsessive, this is about maximising your viewing without the chaos of switching channels.
By combining smart presentation, in-depth analysis, and unprecedented match coverage, Sky Sports is positioning Multiview as the ultimate companion for football fans this season.
So, clear your Sundays—because with Multiview, the Premier League just got a whole lot harder to look away from.
