The 2023 US Open Tennis on TV – TV Coverage and broadcasters
The 2023 US Open Championship will be held from August 28 – September 10, 2023.
For UK TV coverage of the US Open, Sky Sports have exclusive live rights, after Amazon decided not to renew their rights. It has signed a five-year rights deal with the organisers of US Open tennis.
Sky Sports will broadcast a minimum of 135 hours of competition from the US Open Tennis Championship when the Grand Slam returns to the broadcaster. Sky Sports will have access to all individual court feeds with Sky Sports subscribers on Sky Glass, Sky Stream, Sky Q, and the Sky Sports app able to watch all courts for the first time.
Across Sky Sports’ linear channels and on Sky Sports digital and social channels, tennis fans can enjoy extensive coverage, including both the Men’s and Women’s tournaments, alongside respective Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Juniors, and Wheelchair competitions.
Coverage will be presented by Gigi Salmon, who has previously commentated on the sport for the BBC. She’ll be joined by experts and commentators including Martina Navratilova, Tim Henman, Jo Konta, Feliciano Lopez, Marion Bartoli, Jordanne Whiley, Laura Robson, Jamie Murray, Karthi Gnanasegaram, Emma Paton and Jonathan Overend.
Sky is rebuilding its tennis team after it lost the rights to the US Open to Amazon in 2016. In addition Sky is expected to take over UK TV rights for WTA and LTA tennis evene, from 2024.
Eurosport is the exclusive broadcast partner of the US Open in continental Europe, reaching 52 countries, including Spain, France, Belgium.
