Forces TV operator, BFBS, has now confirmed Forces TV is closing.

It appears that this has been prompted by the fact that Forces TV was due to lose its current Freeview slot at the end of the month, when there is a Freeview MUX (ie frequency) reshuffle.

Forces TV will close on

30th June 2022.

Forces TV started in 2017 primarily as a military factual channels, but also became known for its cult TV classics from the 1970s and 80s, including CHiPS, The Brittas Empire and Blake’s 7

BFBS Statement:

We are very sad to go but, as a military charity and media organisation, we’re focusing our resources on our core mission: to entertain, inform, connect and champion our UK armed forces, families and veterans.
