The BBC has confirmed details of the additional Red Button service it will offer this summer

These extra services will allow access to extra coverage from Glastonbury and Wimbledon.

There will be three Red Button options during Glastonbury and six Red Button options for Wimbledon.

There will also be a HD Red Button service on satellite during Wimbledon.

On Sky, the availability of BBC Red Button streams directly accessed by a channel number is restricted by a limit of standard definition channel slots available on Sky’s Electronic Programme Guide (EPG). Broadcasters have to trade EPG slots, and the availability of slots depends on current supply, for example if another channel has ceased broadcasting. Therefore BBC RB 4, 5 and 6 will be available on Sky via the red button only, and not available for direct selection
